• My About the Internet column "Native Seeds/SEARCH" was on the American Diabetes Association's Web site and is now at http://www.mendosa.com/seeds.htm. An obscure organization set up to find seeds for the Native Americans of the Sonoran desert can help people with diabetes everywhere. Think tepary beans.
  

Updates include:

I have been reorganizing some of the 15 "On-line Diabetes Resources" pages to make them easier to use. Some of them—particularly the directory of companies—have become pretty long.
• In On-line Diabetes Resources: Part 5: Company Web Sites I have separated out the links and descriptions of two types of companies that I now show in yellow-highlighted blocks:
  • "Diabetes Supply Companies"; and

  • "Diabetes Food Companies"

  

• In On-line Diabetes Resources Part 6: Publications Web Sites there is now a short section—highlighted in yellow—of "On-line Videos."

  

• In On-line Diabetes Resources Part 11: Diabetes Medications Web Sites there is now a highlighted block linking the eight sites for "Clinical Trials."

  

• In On-line Diabetes Resources Part 12: Insulin Web Sites you can now find information about all the insulin manufacturers in the world (I think) in a highlighted block.

  

• In On-line Diabetes Resources Part 14: Blood Glucose Meters there are new sections (not highlighted in yellow) on "Fructosamine Meters" and "Hemoglobin A1c Meters and Kits."
