  • 4-5 curry leaves
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • tsp brown sugar (optional)
  • Salt to taste

Preparation:

  • In a large pan heat oil and add cumin seeds, sputter. Then add the curry leaves, fry a little ,and then add onion, chillies and fry; add turmeric powder. Add salt and sugar. Now add the roasted chana dal and fry for 1-2 minutes; stir often so as not to burn the roasted dal. Finally, just before taking off from the fire add coriander leaves.
