In the past few days at least four species of ducks have been adding their beauty to Tantra Lake in front of my apartment. Mallards are always here, so we tend to take them for granted. But they are among the most beautiful ducks, and I appreciate them.

This morning a duck uncommonly found here appeared on Tantra Lake. This is one of the most colorful ducks and one that I was delighted to see.

Sometimes I go as far as the Everglades, Panama, and New Zealand to see beautiful birds. And sometimes I only have to walk out my front door.
