The raptors that my friend Sharon and I went looking for on Thursday were bald eagles. And the Rez is what many folks here call the Boulder Reservoir.
Someone had posted photos of a pair of bald eagles on Facebook that he had taken a couple of days earlier. We found one:

But we found other raptors, including a prairie falcon:

Neither Sharon or I had ever seen a prairie falcon before. In fact, when Sharon identified it from my photographs, this was the first I ever heard about these majestic raptors.
