A couple of days ago I looked across the lake at first light and saw the cottonwoods in all their fall glory.

The next day wind blow in and stripped the trees naked. The day after that the first snow of the season fell belatedly. Now we have winter in Colorado.
I appreciate it more because the seasons change.
