Before Sue returned to her home today in the Bay Area, we were blessed with two sunny afternoons to witness the development of three owlets in Boulder County.

Three Days Later the Biggest Owlet Fledged

Three Days Later the Biggest Owlet Fledged

This owlet fledged just a few hours earlier on April 14. Its two litter mates were still in the nest and their Great Horned Owl parents were nearby to watch over and feed them. Never before had I seen five owls in one day!
