Nice post. Sorry to learn about your wife. I can't agree anymore on the combination of Diet and Exercise for good health.

We need to strike a balance.

Very well written so the common people can understand. I have been taking a combo of Omega 3-6-9 for a while with the intent of overall health. My last 3 blood tests show high liver counts, so I've been doing my homework. I am now concerned that adding more oils to the liver is counterproductive. It's interesting to hear that we should cut back on Omega 6, as it can counter Omega 3.

I have changed the way I eat dramatically over the last year (fresh vegtables, fruit, organic milk, etc) with no difference in blood counts or weight. I've finally tackled the sugar addiction...again to no results. I am not discouraged as I know it takes a while to heal the body. I do feel better and that is the bottom line. Your article is making me rethink the Omega 6 though .

Thanks for the web site. It sometimes feels a bit lonely dealing with diabetes. You have some great articles.

Hi All. It is important to have in mind that there are certain conditions to get all the benefits fish oil can bring for a fatty liver.

First, you need to take a minimum amount of fish oil, krill oil or cod liver oil at a certain frequency.

There is not an establish amount of omega 3 fro any health benefit but I recommend to take at least 900 mg per day of omega 3 fats (close to 3.000 mg of fish oil), EPA plus DHA, per day.

Also, you should lower your intake of omega 6 fats (mostly grains and grain oils) since omega 3 and omega 6 counteract each other in the body.

Please read more at http://www.omega-3-fish-oil-wonders.com/fish-oil-benefits.html

Best wishes,
